The Statue of Liberty is a huge neoclassical sculpture, which now stands on Liberty Island, New York, USA. This bronze statue was designed by the French sculptor Frederick Auguste Bartholdi and was a gift from the French people to the American people. Its metal frame was built by Gustave Eiffel. The statue was completed on October 28, 1886.
